NALU
RESCUED 2 APRIL 2021
As a 3 month old Hereford calf, he would have been with his mother and the rest of the herd when flood waters rose around them, Nalu believed to be the only survivor π. He would most certainly not have made it either if not for the heroic efforts of Brooke and her friend who happened to spot his little white face bobbing in the flood waters near the highway they were on.
They somehow managed to pull him out of the water and get him onto the road, then they had to help him walk over 2km back to their vehicle. Brooke eventually got him back to her property where she did all she could to care for him after what must have been a horrifying experience for this poor baby.
Fortunately for Nalu, Brooke contacted us to see if we could offer him a place to live the life he very much deserves. π±π
βNaluβ means 'wave in the ocean' or 'go with the flow' in Hawaiian.
